The Hillcrest Academy Raven baseball team made it back-to-back wins Thursday, running away from the Wapello Indians in Kalona 14-3 in five innings. Hillcrest scored in every frame, putting up four in the first, one in the second, four more in the third, and a five spot in the fourth to seal Wapello’s fate. The Indians got a single tally in the second and two more in the fourth. The Ravens pounded out 13 hits, three of those doubles, and used eight walks in the win. Eight different Ravens ended with a hit, seven scored a run, and six drove in a run. Liam Schrock had three hits, three RBI and scored four times. Seth Ours drove in four on two hits with a run scored, and Phoenix Anderson finished with three RBI on two hits. Lawson Schrock and Micah Gerber each scored twice and Lincoln Miller added two hits. Rowan Miller got the win on the mound, going all five, allowing four hits, one earned run, walking two and striking out eight. The Ravens are now 5-1 on the season with a contest tonight at Highland.
