After another record setting season for Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf, Mid-Prairie’s Gabi Robertson is being recognized for her work on the course this spring. Robertson, a senior on the year’s Golden Hawk team, has been named to the Class 2A All-State Tournament Team, by the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association. She was a second team All-Tournament selection.
At the 2A State Tournament in Boone, the steady Golden Hawk senior, fired rounds of 84 on day one and 85 on day two, finishing with a 169 for the event, in an 11th place tie in Class 2A. Her 84 score on day one was a personal best. As a team, the Golden Hawks finished in fifth place in 2A, their program’s best finish in 15 years with their scores of 365 on day one and 367 on day two, to finish with a team total of 732. Their day one team score was a school record. This was also the first time in the history of the program that the Golden Hawks advanced to the State Tournament in three consecutive seasons. They finished with a 53-10 overall record.
