The Hillcrest Academy Raven baseball team dropped a Southeast Iowa Superconference cross over contest Monday night at Mediapolis, 4-1. The Bulldogs built a 4-0 lead, plating one in the second and three in the third. The Ravens got on the board with a single tally in the fourth when Mason Helmuth drove in Seth Ours, but the Hillcrest offense couldn’t keep the momentum going. The Ravens finished with three total hits as Ours and Liam Schrock both had singles to go with Helmuth. Phoenix Anderson worked all six innings on the mound, giving up eight hits, four earned runs, walking two and striking out two. The Ravens are now 6-2 on the year and prepare for New London Wednesday afternoon.
