The City of Washington will be using a new garbage and recycling collector. Effective Monday, July 1, the City will be using ABC Disposal Systems Inc., based out of Hiawatha as the garbage and recycling collection service. The garbage and recycling collection schedule will remain the same. They will be using the current garbage and recycling cans. ABC will place new Company stickers on the current cans throughout the month of July. New Stickers will be available for extra trash and bulky items. Any questions can be directed to Washington City Hall. The current garbage collection is done by Johnson County Refuse.
