The Kalona Public Library invites the City’s young people to “The Cove” a new teen space that was unveiled last Friday.
After receiving grant funding from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation, the City of Kalona gave some of that to the library to create this space for learning and fun. The Cove features two new desktop computers with Adobe software, Minecraft games and coding software, an arts and crafts cart, board games, a Nintendo Switch with multiple controllers, and chargers for a variety of electronic and mobile devices.
Additional assistance with completing the teen space came from KCTC, Hardman Painting Co, and Grizzly Green Designs. The Kalona Public Library is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays, and from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
