It was easy as 1-2-3 Friday in Wayland for the Hillcrest Academy Raven softball team as they snapped a four game losing streak with an 18-5 win over WACO in three frames. The Ravens scored five in the first and followed that with eight in the second and five more in the third. The Warriors got a tally in the first and four in the third inning. Hillcrest pounded out 10 hits in the shortened contest. Malia Yoder had three, including a triple, two RBI and two runs scored. Claire Withrow drove in a pair on a hit and came around to score twice. Stavia Miller chipped in two RBI on a hit and scored once. Adrianne Blauvelt had a hit with an RBI and a run scored. Lydia Beachy scored three times while Morgyn Nafziger and Delaney Shaw came around twice and Erin Bontrager scored once. Yoder was the winning pitcher, tossing three innings with one hit, five runs, none earned with two walks and three Ks. Hillcrest is now 8-10 on the year as WACO drops to 0-13.
