The Hillcrest Academy Raven baseball and softball teams take the diamond Monday to face a pair of foes from the South Division of the Southeast Iowa Superconference. The Raven baseball team is on the road against Van Buren. The Ravens are 12-3 this year, 7-1 leaders of the North Division, after a 12-2 Saturday win over Danville. This season, they are hitting .284 as a team with a .421OBP and .387 slug, scoring 131 runs on 119 hits with 83 walks and 104 strikeouts. Individually, five Ravens are hitting .300 or better, led by Rowan Miller’s .476 with 20 total hits and 19 RBI. Liam Schrock has a team best 22 runs scored. On the mound, the Hillcrest staff ERA is 3.16 with a .221 opponent average on 85 hits, 44 earned runs, 33 walks and 86 strikeouts. Individually, Seth Ours is 4-1 with a 2.69ERA. Liam and Lawson Schrock and Miller are 7-0 with a 3.30ERA.

Van Buren is 7-12 this season, 3-5 in the South Division of the Superconference. They scored a 4-3 win over North Mahaska Saturday. This year, the Warriors are hitting .271 as a team with a .410OBP and .306 slug with 132 runs on 130 hits, 89 walks and 124 strikeouts. Individually, five Warriors are at .300 or better, led by Lucas Fett at .457 and 14 runs scored. Fett and Isaiah Meek both have 16 total hits and Meek leads with 12RBI. The pitching staff has a 4.30ERA with a .190 opponent average on 112 hits, 71 earned runs, 80 walks and 101 strikeouts. Individually, Fett is 3-0 with a 0.89ERA. Van Buren has won seven of the last eight in the series including a 6-1 victory last year.

The Hillcrest Academy girls are 9-10 on the year, 6-5 in league play entering a Monday matchup with Holy Trinity Catholic. Hillcrest was a 14-5 Saturday winner over Danville. On the year, the Ravens are hitting .308 as a crew with a .423OBP and slug. They have scored 147 runs on 145 hits with 87 walks and 131 strikeouts. Individually, three Ravens hit .400 or better, led by Malia Yoder’s .586 average with 34 total hits, 28 runs scored and 26 driven in. Yoder also leads in the circle with a 9-9 record in 100 innings and a .200 opponent average, allowing 104 hits, 56 earned runs, 67 walks and 138 strikeouts with a 3.97ERA.

Holy Trinity is 5-10 this season, 3-7 in the Superconference South Division after a 19-9 loss to Van Buren last time out. The Crusaders hit .300 as a group with a .415OBP and .407 slug, scoring 74 runs on 95 hits with 51 walks and 80 strikeouts. Individually, four hit .300 or better led by Emily Ross at .579 with 22 total hits and 19RBI. Sydney Jarvis has scored 14 times. In the circle, The HTC ERA is 7.03 with a .357 opponent average on 125 hits, 72 earned runs, 37 walks and 51 strikeouts. Jarvis is a team best 4-5 with a 6.02ERA. The Crusaders have won the last six in the series including a 9-0 victory last year.

Both games start at 5:30 this evening with the girls in West Point and the boys in Keosauqua.
