The Louisa-Muscatine Falcons pay a visit to the Hillcrest Academy Raven baseball and softball teams Tuesday. The Raven boys are 13-3 on the season, 7-1 leaders of the North Division of the Southeast Iowa Superconference following an 8-3 win at Van Buren Monday. On the year, the Ravens are hitting .290 as a team with a .424OBP and .389 slug with 139 runs on 131 hits, 88 walks and 111 strikeouts. Individually, five Ravens are hitting .300 or better, led by Rowan Miller at .435 and 20RBI. He and Liam Schrock each have 20 hits this summer, Schrock has scored 23 times. On the mound the Hillcrest staff ERA is 3.09 with a .220 opponent average on 90 hits, 46 earned runs, 35 walks and 88 strikeouts. Seth Ours is the team leader at 4-1 with a 2.69ERA. Liam and Lawson Schrock and Miller are 8-0 together with a three ERA.

Louisa-Muscatine is 4-13 this year, 3-5 in conference after a 13-3 loss to Winfield-Mt. Union Friday. The Falcons hit .240 as a team with a .346OBP and .283 slug, scoring 60 runs on 84 hits with 47 walks and 94 strikeouts. Three Falcons hit .300 or better, paced by Braedyn Van Auken at .406 with 15 total hits. Ty Northup has 11RBI and Xavier Wheeler 11 runs scored. On the mound, the L-M ERA is 6.60 with a .167 opponent average, allowing 74 hits, 77 earned runs 92 walks and 91Ks. Owen Kiocksiem is 2-0 with a 1.65ERA. The Falcons beat the Ravens in Letts earlier this month 5-4. Hillcrest has won eight of the last 11 overall in the series.

The Hillcrest softball team is back at .500, 10-10 on the year and 6-5 in conference after a 5-2 win at Holy Trinity Monday. On the year, the Ravens are hitting .308 as a crew with a .423OBP and slug. They have scored 147 runs on 145 hits with 87 walks and 131 strikeouts. Individually, three Ravens hit .400 or better, led by Malia Yoder’s .586 average with 34 total hits, 28 runs scored and 26 driven in. Yoder also leads in the circle with a 9-9 record in 100 innings and a .200 opponent average, allowing 104 hits, 56 earned runs, 67 walks and 138 strikeouts with a 3.97ERA.

The L-M girls have hit their stride, winning 11 straight and climbing to the top of the ladder in the North Division of the Superconference with a 22-3 overall record. They scored wins on the weekend over Iowa City West and Dubuque Hempstead at the Cedar Rapids Jefferson Tournament. The Falcons are ranked No. 12 in Class 2A in the latest poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. L-M hits .399 as a team with a .480OBP and .525 slug. They have 235 runs this year on 271 hits, 87 walks and 46 strikeouts, led by Rhylann Lessenger at .547 with 41 total hits, 41 runs scored and 30RBI. In the circle, they have a collective 3.10ERA with a .233 opponent average on 144 hits, 63 earned runs, 36 walks and 151 strikeouts led by Kamryn Taylor at 10-0 with a 2.03ERA. L-M has won 22 straight in the series.
