A Sigourney teen who was reported missing more than a week ago was found safe last Thursday, according to the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 2 p.m. on June 27, officers executed a search warrant in the 900 block of Ringgold Street in Sigourney. The operation resulted in the finding of 16-year-old Emily Conger, who had been last seen on June 22. She was returned home safely.
In addition to locating Conger, the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office also arrested 21-year-old Carter Wallerich of Sigourney and charged him with harboring a runaway child. The Sheriff’s Office thanked the community for their assistance in the case. KCII will have more information as it becomes official.
