Last weekend, members of the Green Acres 4H club joined forces with Sleep in Heavenly Peace of Washington County to construct beds for local youth.

Approximately 30 members and some parents met Sunday night and were able to build 10 beds. Some volunteers were even able to deliver a few of the beds to kids in the KCII listening area. The project was hosted by Sleep in Heavenly Peace Co-Presidents: Angie Leyden-VanGundy and Jeff VanGundy

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a non-profit organization with a mission to ensure that no child sleeps on the floor. Donations received go towards lumber and building supplies as well as mattresses, bedding, and pillows.
