louisa-county-road-closure-2

A portion of County Road H22 in Louisa County will be closed for approximately eight weeks, beginning today, as a construction project begins.

The length of the closure is about 1,000 feet of H22, or K Road just east of Highway 61. It runs east and west between the cities of Morning Sun and Oakville. While the road work continues this summer, a grave detour is available, using 30th Street and 123rd Avenue. Trucks that need to travel between Oakville and Wapello are advised to use X99 during this time.

The tentative completion date for the project is Friday, September 13. With questions, contact the Louisa County Engineer’s Office at 319-523-5271.
