KCII News spoke with U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley to get his insight into the Hamas and Israel conflict and the talks of a cease-fire, “Well I would want it to be something that would end the war forever. Make sure Hamas is decimated, make sure all the hostages are out. And on the other hand, I think that we should not inject our judgment into whether or not Israel should agree to that. They were the ones that were attacked. Only the Israeli Government is going to protect the Israeli people. And if they are being attacked by a war-like group like Hamas, then that’s something that they have the responsibility to make sure that they fight that war the way they want to fight it. Now if a peace agreement can be reached, that’s up to Israel to make that final determination.” The armed conflict between Israel and Hamas-led Palestinian militant groups has been taking place mostly in the Gaza Strip since October 7th.
