In the latest Weekly Fuel Report from the Department of Agriculture, Iowa saw a decrease in gas prices over the last week.
As of Wednesday, the average price of regular unleaded gasoline in Iowa was $3.28, this data from AAA. That’s down four cents from last week, and two cents less than a year ago. The national average for unleaded gas is $3.54.
Retail diesel prices also fell, albeit by just one cent. The current average of $3.58 in Iowa is also one cent down from 2023 and 30 cents lower than the national average of $3.88. Wholesale ethanol saw no change in the last week, holding steady at $2.16.
