The National Weather Service of the Quad Cities has issued an enhanced risk, or 3 out of 5, for severe weather this afternoon into the evening. Severe weather is likely with the potential for a widespread damaging wind event, and also a concern for some tornadoes. The main threat is within the 4 to 10 pm time frame. There is also a heat advisory issued area-wide for this afternoon and evening.
