There’s a county fair everywhere you turn in southeast Iowa this week. Henry County joined in on the action Wednesday, with plenty more fun to be had.

Friday features the swine show, poultry show, and livestock production show. The Clover Kids graduate at 6 p.m. in the Exhibit Building, with the Truck and Tractor Pull starting at 6:30 at the Grandstand.

Saturday at the Henry County Fair includes the Farmers Market in the morning and free kids activities in the afternoon. There will be face painting, balloon animals, a foam blaster, pony rides, and more. Competitions also highlight the afternoon with the bottle animal costume contest, mud volleyball, and barnyard olympics. Grandstand entertainment will be the demolition derby at 7 p.m. and music from Jive Radio from 9-11.

The final animal shows are Sunday, July 21 with sheep and goats. Barbeque contest judging and the adult bags tournament are at noon, followed by the ATV Rodeo in the Grandstand at 2 p.m. Things begin to wind down Sunday evening into Monday morning with the Ribbon Auction wrapping up all events.
