The Iowa State Fair is drawing closer, and the Kalona Chamber of Commerce is looking for volunteers to help represent the City.

The Kalona Chamber has attended the State Fair since 1985 in an effort to promote the City and bring attention to their numerous businesses. This year, they plan to be at the Fair from Friday, August 9 to Sunday, August 18, with volunteers needed for morning, afternoon, or driving shifts. Morning shifts run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., afternoon shifts are 1:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and driving shifts are 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Volunteers will be in an air-conditioned building and can expect to help with restocking, answering questions, operating the cash register, and bagging items.
