After a Southeast Iowa Superconference championship this spring, the Hillcrest Academy Raven boys soccer team slotted six players on All-SEISC teams.

Two Ravens were First Team All-Superconference selections. Junior Micah Gerber was chosen to the first team. His 14 goals led the Ravens and were the third highest total in the league. Gerber’s 73 shots were most for the Ravens, fifth in conference, and his 36 shots on goal were most on the team, and seventh in conference play. Gerber ended with seven assists, second on the team and seventh in the Superconference.

Junior Mason Bender was also a First Team choice. The defender was part of a defense that surrendered just 17 goals in 14 matches. On offense, he added five goals and three assists.

Junior defender and mid-fielder Mason Helmuth was a Second Team All-Superconference selection. Helmuth was part of a Raven defense that put together seven shut outs this season. He also added a goal and an assist on offense.

A trio of Hillcrest mid-fielders were honorable mention All-SEISC, including juniors Seth Ours and Bryce Bailey and sophomore Rowan Miller. Ours was the team leader with 11 assists, third most in the Superconference, to go with three goals. Miller scored eight times, second most on the team and eighth in conference and had an assist. The group was part of a Raven mid-field that helped Hillcrest to a +32 goal differential on the year.

The Ravens ended the season as 8-2 champions of the Southeast Iowa Superconference, and finished with a 10-4 overall record.
