U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley shared his thoughts with KCII News about the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, “I guess I was watching live at the time and obviously didn’t know what happened for a few seconds, for a few minutes maybe, then you look back at it, and you could just see how the right movement at the right time is the reason that Trump’s alive. We don’t know anything about the motives of the shooter yet. It raises a lot of questions about the protection that candidates have, whether or not the agency is doing the work or doing it correctly.” On July 13th, former President Donald Trump was shot and wounded in his right ear while addressing a campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania.
