It was another record-setting spring for Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf and Madi Davidson was a big reason why. The Golden Hawk senior was recently named to the Class 2A All-Region 5 team by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. Davidson was tied for the team lead with a 48 average per nine holes and a 92 average on 18, and finished the year ranked No. 31 in the final Class 2A poll of the season from the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association.

Davidson was part of a Golden Hawk team that won the River Valley Conference team title for the second straight season, shooting a team score 373 at Muscatine, where she was named All-RVC following a round of 94. The Hawks also made history qualifying for their third straight team 2A State Tournament, the longest streak in school history. Davidson helped fuel the postseason run as the Hawks finished as runners-up at their home regional opener behind her score of 98, and qualified for their third straight State appearance with a second place team finish at the West Liberty regional final, where Davidson posted a team best 89, including 43 on the front, to finish sixth overall. At State, the Hawks were 5th of 10 teams, the best finish in 15 years for the program, firing a team score 732. Davidson shot a combined 191 for her two days in Boone to finish 42nd at the tournament. As a team, the Golden Hawks were ranked No. 7 in the final Class 2A coaches poll of the year and ended the season with a 53-10 overall record.
