A member of Washington Demon softball is being recognized for her efforts both on the field and in the classroom. Senior Rylee Libe has been chosen as an academic all-state player by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association for the 2024 season.

Libe was one of a few hundred seniors from across the state who played varsity softball this season while also achieving a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.75; an ACT score of 27 or higher or an SAT score of 1200; and ranking inside the top 15 percent in their class.

On the diamond, Libe’s first full season as a starter was a fruitful one, not only playing every game in the field but also starting most as a hitter and putting up a .302 batting average, five doubles, 19 runs batted in and 30 runs scored that were near the top of the Southeast Conference.
