A Missouri man was sentenced Tuesday to 405 months in federal prison for production of child pornography.

According to court documents, 65-year-old John Daniel Kopp Jr. requested that 36-year-old Abigail Margarete Knight of Riverside produce child pornography with two minor victims and send it to him. This occurred from at least July 2020 through May 2023. Kopp received the images via text message, and would sometimes pay Knight to produce them. Knight was sentenced to 600 months in federal prison in June.

After his term of imprisonment, Kopp will be required to serve five years of supervised release and pay $6,000 in restitution. There is no parole in the federal system. The case was investigated by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
