Earlier this month, the Washington County Riverboat Foundation announced its 2nd quarter City Grants as part of their Municipal Grant program. Among the eight Cities to receive funding were Brighton, Crawfordsville, and West Chester.

Each quarter, WCRF distributes 25 percent of its total revenues directly to these cities. This month, that included $10,907.10 to Brighton, $6,610.36 to Crawfordsville, and $2,974.66 to West Chester. Funds received are programmed by each respective city council.

WCRF is the nonprofit license holder for the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort, which provides the entirety of its funding. Since the Casino’s grand opening in 2006, the Foundation has given more than $723,000 to Brighton, $320,000 to Crawfordsville, and nearly $170,000 to West Chester.
