One of the senior leaders for Washington Demon baseball ends his career with some postseason accolades, as Caleb Zieglowsky has been named a second-team All-Southeast District catcher in Class 3A by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.
Zieglowsky led Washington with a career-best .364 batting average and 14 runs batted in, finishing with 20 total hits at the plate that included four doubles and his first career home run.
The senior was also tied for the fewest strikeouts on the team with only three but was also solid behind the plate, throwing out five runners and posting a .942 fielding percentage for a Demon team that won five games this season.
