Another excellent summer of Washington Demons softball included back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in 11 years and 24 wins for a second straight season as well. Six players who led the way for Washington have earned all-conference accolades in the Southeast Conference for their efforts.

That includes Leighton Salazar taking home a first-team selection for a second straight season. The sophomore led the Demons with 66 total hits, a .524 batting average, 10 doubles and 58 runs scored. Salazar also had 29 runs batted in and 36 stolen bases this season, a new single-season school record.

Bella Salazar earns first-team honors after terrific seasons as both a hitter and a pitcher. In addition to batting .348 with five doubles and 37 RBI, the junior went 13-8 in the circle with career bests of a 2.67 earned-run average and 100 strikeouts.

Washington’s Ella Greiner is a second-team choice after hitting .453 with six doubles, two home runs, 32 runs scored and another 28 driven in. Fellow junior Alyvia Anderson led the Demons with 10 doubles, three homers and 43 RBI while also batting a career-high .375 on her way to second-team accolades.

Freshman Colbie Greiner already has a second all-conference nod after making the second team in a season where she hit .281 with seven doubles, a homer and 21 RBI. Honorable mentions go to senior Emery Walton and junior Kendall Hinrichsen.

Hinrichsen, Anderson, Ella Greiner and Bella Salazar joined senior Rylee Libe and juniors Halle Cuddeback and Lauren Hinrichsen in receiving academic all-conference honors.
