Just one week after hosting its first outdoor movie of the summer, the City of Keota is offering two more unique viewing opportunities with dive-in movies.
Held at the new Keota Aquatic Center, the first of the two dive-in movies is Thursday, August 1 with a showing of the 2023 PG film “Under the Boardwalk”. Then on Sunday, August 4 audiences will watch “Meg 2: The Trench”. Also made last year, “Meg 2” is rated PG-13. Doors open for both events at 7:30 p.m., with showtimes at 8:25.
Keota Administrator Alycia Horras tells KCII there is a small cost for each movie, but guests will receive a gift for attending. “The admission for those are five dollars per person. If you have a season pass that does not apply for this. But with that admission, they’ll also get a reusable water bottle full of their favorite beverage.”
Guests are expected to float in a round innertube, as no swimming will be allowed during the movie. They may bring their own round float, or purchase one for two dollars. Anyone under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
