The price of regular unleaded gasoline fell 4 cents in Iowa, averaging $3.24 according to the latest Fuel Report from the Department of Agriculture and AAA. 

This average, which was reported Wednesday, is 37 cents lower than a year ago. The national average was $3.49, down two cents from last week. As for diesel prices, they fell one cent this week for a statewide average of $3.51. This is down 35 cents from last year, while it is 31 cents lower than the national average. Wholesale ethanol once again held steady at $2.16.
