Area groups and organizations can now apply for a fall grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation. The grant cycle, which began yesterday, remains open until Monday, September 16.

Applications can be filled out on the Foundation’s website. Executive Director, Patty Koller, tells KCII what the process looks like from there. “Those applications are reviewed by the full board. We talk about ‘do we want to see any of the applicants in person and have a presentation or not?’. Then we meet in two separate committees and each committee comes up with their list of which grant applications they want to fund. Then some members from each of those two committees meet in the final grant committee and they hash out which grants they want to fund between the lists that group one and group two had.”

In their latest spring cycle, WCRF awarded more than $3.6 million dollars to fund 24 total projects. 2024 fall grants will be announced at a ceremony in November. To apply for a Washington County Riverboat fall grant, click here.
