The Washington County Board of Supervisors discussed the Wellman Telephone Tower construction project at their Tuesday meeting. Supervisor Richard Young gave the update, “We’ve already approved the building of that tower, but they wanted, last Friday we had a meeting between, Wellman Telephone, Fitch Consulting, Cara, Jared and myself, last Friday morning and, they just wanted me to bring the bid comparisons.” The Supervisors acknowledged the update, and the construction project will continue to progress. Replacement of the Wellman county-wide communication tower is needed following damage to the equipment during tornadoes that struck Washington County March 31st of last year.
