Both the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves and Columbus Wildcats had some standout individual performers this past softball season who have earned all-conference honors from the North division of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.

WMU ends up with four total all-conference selections, including senior Makiah Lower, who is a second-team pitcher. Lower had a team-best 5.09 earned-run average and 80 strikeouts in the circle, but she was even better with the bat, posting team highs of a .478 batting average, four doubles and 19 runs batted in.

Junior Josie Nelson is a second-team choice of the Wolves as well at outfielder, coming off a summer where she hit three doubles and three triples while also scoring 15 runs and racking up a team-high 21 stolen bases. Honorable mentions go to sophomores Quin Smith and Katie Miller.

Columbus picks up three all-conference nods, including freshman Ellie Sanders making the cut as a second-team infielder. Sanders led the Wildcats by hitting .461, scoring 30 runs and stealing 28 bases. Honorable mentions include sophomore Kennedy Woepking and junior Lily Coil.
