Iowa Auditor of State, Rob Sand, released a report on Henry County last week for the year ending June 30, 2023.
This report produced 10 findings related to the receipt and expenditure of taxpayer funds. These findings addressed issues such as lack of segregation of duties, lack of reconciliations of public billings, collections and delinquent accounts, and an unallowable donation to a private entity. The donations refer to $7,500 given to both Iowa Wesleyan University and Main Street Mount Pleasant during the fiscal year. Each of the aforementioned findings were repeated from the previous year.
Auditor Sand provided recommendations for each of the findings. To view the full audit report for Henry County, click here.
