The cities of Riverside and Ainsworth were each the beneficiaries of a second-quarter, Municipal Grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation.

Each quarter, the Foundation distributes 25% of its total revenues to eight cities in Washington County, also including Brighton, Crawfordsville, Kalona, Washington, Wellman, and West Chester. Last month, the City of Riverside received $24,127.82 while Ainsworth was awarded $9,915.55.

The Washington County Riverboat Foundation is the non-profit license holder for the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort, which provides its funding. Since the opening of the Casino in 2006, city grant funding has totaled over $1.1 million in Riverside, more than $615,000 in Ainsworth, and nearly $16 million overall.
