A State Representative running for Congress is making a pair of campaign stops in the KCII listening area today. Iowa District 85 State Representative Christina Bohannan is launching a Recreation and Listening Tour Thursday. She will make a stop in Lockridge in Jefferson County from 2:15-3:00 this afternoon at Mac Coon Access to meet with local conservation and water quality advocates including Jeff Olson, a member of the Henry County Soil and Water Conservation Commission.

Bohannan will also stop at Lake Belva Deer near Sigourney in Keokuk County from 4:10-5p.m. to talk with Curtis Reighard, Executive Director of the Keokuk County Conservation Board, local members of the DNR to talk about Washington and Keokuk County Watershed projects and local farmer Jim Krier to talk about cover crops and government support of conservation practices.

Bohannan’s tour also includes stops in Oskaloosa and Keosauqua Thursday.
