It was a big spring on the oval for Hillcrest sprinter Rya Scott. The Raven sophomore racer set two new school sprint records. Her time of 12.69 seconds in the 100 and 26.54 seconds in the 200 are both all-time bests at Hillcrest.

Scott capped off her sophomore season by qualifying for the Class 1A State Track and Field Meet in Des Moines in the 100, 200, 400 and long jump, medaling in the 100 with a sixth place finish.
