Just after 10a.m. Friday, the Washington County Safety Center received a call that a vehicle had run a stop sign and hit a semi at the intersection of Highway 22 and Orange Avenue east of Kalona. Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene. Nila Cruz of Washington was cited for no drivers license and failure to provide accident insurance. Damage to both vehicles was more than $1500 and a state accident report was filed.
