A record-setting player for Washington Demon boys’ soccer will be looking to continue his success at the next level, as now-graduated senior Emmanuel Raymundo committed to play soccer at Wartburg College in Waverly.
Raymundo finished his time at Washington as the school’s all-time scoring leader with 38 goals, as well as recording 27 assists in his time with the Demons, another career program record.
Much of that damage was done in 2023, when Raymundo piled up 19 goals and 11 assists to lead Washington in both categories as a junior. Raymundo finished this past season with eight goals and two assists, helping the Demons go 11-4 and win the Southeast Conference while also reaching a substate final.
Raymundo earned an honorable mention all-conference selection as a senior. He’ll join a Wartburg Knights team that won 12 matches last season and finished second in its conference before losing in the first round of the NCAA Division III national tournament.
