KCII News spoke to U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley about the conflict between Israel and Iran, and how he feels about Iran joining the conflict against Israel, “Well, obviously I hope it doesn’t happen, I think the United States is lining up to help Israel. I don’t know if we would have to have the United States help Israel. I think for a little country, they have a great defense system that they don’t get enough credit for. And I think the U.S. is spending too much time telling Israel what they ought to do with their military, with defending themselves, and all of that. I think we ought to let the Israeli government decide for themselves what they have to do to make sure that they don’t get attacked again. And I hope Iran doesn’t do it, but Iran is going to continue to do it until we take away their resources to do it.” Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Deputy Commander Brigadier General Ali Fadavi warned on August 20 that Iran will “definitely” retaliate against Israel “at the suitable time and place,” for the assassination of leaders like Ismail Haniyeh and others at the end of July.
