Last Saturday marked the reception of the newest Dutch Market to the community here in Washington. Owners Melvin & Ada Yoder estimate that somewhere between 1,500 – 2,000 guests visited the store on their grand opening. They served over 1,000 free homemade cinnamon rolls, among a variety of additional samples that included their family favorite Birch Beer (similar to root beer), ice cream, meats, cheeses, and pantry items. The market offers an ice cream parlor, deli counter, and coffee shop: Coffee Talk. They are open Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 5:30 pm and 4:30 pm on Saturday.
