The Kalona Area Chamber of Commerce was recently looking for community members to get involved on their board of directors. There were four positions available in the current round of voting. There are 11 voting members on the board. KCII News spoke with Chamber Director Tonia Poole to learn more about the new board members, “Three of the four were rerunning. They’ve been on the Chamber Board for a number of years so they weren’t burnt out they were ready to go again, and so those positions were, Tandy Greiner with the Appliance Barn, Lyndon Hershberger with Kalona Chocolates, and Katie Karnes with Wooden Wheel Antiques. And then we are welcoming Shawn Graber with Graber Heating and Air as that fourth Board Member.”  Member responsibilities include attending monthly meetings and joining at least one committee. Terms last three years and begin October 1st, 2024.
