Last week, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office conducted a vehicle stop on 28-year-old Kyle Eakins of Keota on 220th St, near Riverside Rd. Eakins was going 78 mph in a 55 mph zone. Eakins was charged with possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, a Class D Felony. Eakins was also driving while barred, which is an aggravated misdemeanor. Eakins was transported to the Washington County Jail where he later posted bond.
