The No. 6 in Class 3A Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team traveled to Pella Thursday for a quad with Bondurant-Farrar, No. 1 in Class 3A Mount Vernon and the home Little Dutch. The Hawks got their win for the day over the Blue Jays, in a sweep, 25-14 and 25-20. Mid-Prairie was beaten by the Mustangs 25-11 and 25-21 and the home Dutch 25-14 and 25-22. Stat leaders on the night included Jovi Evans with 28 assists and Avery Helmuth with 27. Evans led with 23 kills, Harper Pacha had 20. Dakota Mitchell led with 26 digs, Jeorgia Evans had 19. Brylee Gearhart posted seven blocks, Jeorgia Evans five. Mitchell’s three aces were best.

The Golden Hawks are back on the floor Tuesday at Vinton-Shellsburg.
