The Keota Eagles gave a hard-fought effort but suffered a loss in a four-set match with Pekin at home Tuesday. Keota fell just short in the first set 28-26 and were again edged out in the second frame 30-28.

The Eagles would eek out a win in the third set 25-23, but the Panthers toppled them in the fourth set 25-17 to take the game. The loss drops Keota’s early-season record to 2-2. The Eagles will have some time off before their next match Monday at Highland.
