This week is packed full of Hawk Pride with Mid-Prairie celebrating Homecoming. The daily themes for students and staff include Bikers vs Surfers on Monday. Red, White & Blue on Tuesday, and Wednesday is Class Distinction Day with either a homecoming shirt of different colors for the different grade levels, Thursday is Generational Day, and Friday is Black and Gold Day. At 5:45 pm Wednesday, the Homecoming Parade begins and follows the Same route as the 4th of July Parade, which ends at the YMCA. Beginning at 6:15, the Booster Club Tailgate at the High School will have food available for purchase. The event also includes the Powder Puff Football game at 6:15, boys’ Kickball tournament starts at 6:45, and at 7:30 the Coronation will be held. The King Candidates include Adrian Sanchez-Reyes, Emmett Swartzentruber, Niah Leraton, and Jacob Flynn. The Queen Candidates are Dakota Mitchell, Grace Puttmann, River Gehling, and Xandree Campbell. Friday, from 2:30 – 3:15 there will be a High School Pep Assembly and Activities at the Football Field. At 5:00 the JV Football team plays and at 7:30 the Varsity Football starts. Saturday is the Homecoming Dance from 7:30 – 10:30 in the High School Cafeteria. The Coronation announcement and football game against Sigourney-Keota will both be broadcast live on KCII.
