The Columbus Wildcats competed in a volleyball tournament Saturday at Williamsburg. After falling to the host Raiders in straight sets, 21-15 and 21-8, Columbus swept Des Moines Lincoln, 21-12 and 21-17. But the Wildcats would drop their final match to West Burlington, 21-11 and 21-7.

Audrey Hoback led Columbus with eight kills and three serving aces for the tournament and also came up with 17 digs. Fellow junior Kennedy Woepking paced the team with 25 digs and added seven kills and an ace, while junior Jessica Del Rio also had three aces and seven kills.

Junior setter Daniela Diaz handed out 26 assists on offense while racking up 13 digs on defense as Columbus falls to 4-8. The ‘Cats get back to conference play tonight when they travel to face WACO.
