The Highland Huskies won a back-and-forth battle on the volleyball court last night at Pekin. Highland took the first set 25-18 but dropped the second 25-16.

The Huskies claimed the third frame 25-12, but the Panthers extended the match by winning the fourth set 25-19. The game would be decided by a tie-breaking fifth set, and the two teams traded points throughout, but Highland ultimately edged out Pekin 15-13 to win the match.

The victory continues the Huskies’ perfect start to conference play, as they are now 4-0 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North in addition to a 9-6 overall record. Highland hits the court again tomorrow evening when they host WACO.
