The Washington County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday. On the agenda was a proclamation naming October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Director of Client Advocacy Services and Domestic Violence Services for DVIP Bronis Perteit shared information on services that are offered in Washington County, “The DVIP RVAP is comprehensive service providers for victim survivors. Eight counties in Southeast Iowa and Washington being one of them. I think we served one hundred and one individuals, and seven hundred and sixty-seven services were provided. Which amounted to one thousand two hundred and forty-five hours served.” The Supervisors approved the proclamation naming October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
