Those attending were parents Shelli and Dana Stafford of Kalona, Grandmother Dixie Conrad, Great Grandmother Evelyn Boyse, Aunt and Uncle Kevin and Denise Erpelding all of Washington.

Mid-Prairie Senior Jayden Stafford was named the Adaptive Sports Sean Runyan Athlete of the Year on September 17th at the Jasper Winery in Des Moines. Stafford is currently a senior at Mid-Prairie High School. He has played basketball since he was 8 years old and has also become a successful track athlete. Jayden won the 400-meter wheelchair race at the Drake Relays in 2023 and 2024. He also won the State Championship in the 100, 200, 400, and 800 meter wheelchair races at the State track meet this year. Next year, Jayden plans to attend the University of Whitewater in Wisconsin and will play wheelchair basketball there.
