The No. 12 in Class 3A Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team made it a quick night in Durant Tuesday, sweeping away the Wildcats in a road River Valley Conference match. Mid-Prairie was a winner by scores of 25-13, 27-25 and 25-23.

Top Hawks on the night included Jovi Evans with 21 assists and Avery Helmuth with 14. Dakota Mitchell posted 21 digs, Jovi Evans had 13 and Jeorgia Evans 12. Jovi Evans added 12 kills and Harper Pacha finished with 10. Mitchell’s four aces were best, as were Brylee Gearhart’s three blocks. The Golden Hawks have won four straight and stand at 16-5 on the season, 3-1 in the River Valley as Durant falls to 5-8 on the year and 0-3 in league play. The Hawks are next on the court at the South Tama Tournament Saturday.
