The Hillcrest Academy Raven volleyball team opens pool play in the annual Southeast Iowa Superconference Tournament tonight when they travel to Holy Trinity Catholic.
The Ravens are 14-3 this season, 3-1 in the Superconference, and winners of 11 of their last 12, including a sweep of Lone Tree and Cedar Valley Christian on the road Tuesday. On the year, the Ravens have 666 digs, 470 kills, ninth in Class 1A, 384 assists, 162 aces, fifth in 1A and 44 blocks as a team with a .233 kill efficiency rating, ninth best in 1A. Individual leaders include Claire Withrow with 376 assists, fifth in Class 1A, Malia Yoder with 189 kills, eighth in 1A, 187 digs, and 42 aces, fourth in 1A and Kylee Statler with 20 blocks.
The Ravens are joined tonight by Van Buren, Louisa-Muscatine and the home No. 4 in Class 1A Crusaders. Action starts at 5p.m. and continues into the evening at Holy Trinity High School.
