Willard Miller, one of two teens who pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for the 2021 killing of Fairfield Spanish Teacher, Nohema Graber, was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 35 years in July of 2023. The decision was handed down by District Judge Shawn Showers, who during the over seven-hour hearing, said he would have considered life without parole if state law allowed such a sentence for a juvenile. Miller, who is 17-years-old, will be eligible for parole in 2058. Miller has appealed the Iowa Supreme Court to reduce his sentence since he was a juvenile at the time of the crime. Jeremy Goodale, the other teen, was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole after 25 years. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
