The Hillcrest Academy Raven cross country team takes on their next challenge tonight when they travel to Burlington for the Grayhound Invitational. The Ravens ran last at the English Valleys Invitational a week ago at Knoll Ridge Golf Course where the girls team finished second, highlighted by the second straight individual championship for Marie Yoder. The entire Raven lineup finished in the top 30. Yoder is ranked 11th in this week’s Class 1A girls poll from the Iowa Association of Track Coaches. The Hillcrest boys were fourth at EV, led by Micah Gerber in 12th.

The Ravens will be joined at tonight’s meet by Burlington Notre Dame, Keokuk, Mediapolis, the No. 13 in Class 1A Van Buren boys and their girls, Wapello, West Burlington and the home Grayhounds. Action starts tonight at 4:30 and continues into the evening at the Burlington RecPlex.
